The Arizona Rio Salado Vizsla Club participates in the Vizsla Club of America’s Versatility Certificate Program. This program combines field, conformation, and obedience into one title awarded by the Vizsla Club of America. By passing all 3 segments of this Program, your Vizsla can then use the letters VC, for Versatility Certificate, after their name. This signifies that your dog is truly a “Versatile Vizsla.”
Conformation Segment or Leg – Your dog does not compete against other dogs. Rather, he must meet the Vizsla Breed Standard and demonstrate acceptable temperament and behavior.
Obedience Segment or Leg – Your dog does not compete against other dogs. Rather, he must follow a basic obedience routine called out by the Versatility Judge. It is similar to the AKC obedience requirements for a Companion Dog Certificate.
Field Segment or Leg – Your dog does not compete against other dogs. Rather, he must demonstrate a keen desire to hunt, find birds, and retrieve shot birds. It is similar to the AKC Hunting Test Senior Level.
