Hunt Training

Hunt Test forms

Updated: 9/10/2019

RSVC MEMBERS:

It's that time of year again to get your doggy's another hunt title, four times to get passes.

I am predicting a large turnout so get your entries in early, as I will cut them off when I reach about 30 entries that's what daylight will allow.

Please make checks payable to VSWC  for both clubs, one check will do.

Training Info

We typically begin training a couple of months before the hunt test. You will find dates and venues on the RSVC Calendar. We also list the chair for the event and all pertinent information. Prior to each hunt test we provide training for owners and dogs that would like to participate in the upcoming event.

We will be holding hunt training on the following dates:

Upcoming Training Dates Will Be Posted Soon

BIRDS COST $6.50 EACH

  • Please reserve your birds per the above schedule.
  • Birds are extremely limited, so reserve early. Contact the Training Coordinator to make your reservation.
  • Bird availability and time constraints may dictate a cap on the number of birds you order or the number of dogs we can accommodate for training.
  • The Training Coordinator has discretion as to the running order and brace pairings.
  • Exact change or checks payable to "Rio Salado Vizsla Club" are required.
  • You are responsible for paying for reserved birds, even if you fail to attend the training session.
  • When you arrive at the training site, please check in with the Hunt Training Coordinator.  Please indicate the training level of your dog.
  • Do not allow your dog to go up to other dogs unless both dog owners are agreeable to them interacting.  There are some dogs who will not be friendly to other dogs coming up to them. If you want to have your dog interact with another dog, go away from the check in table and away from other dogs and people.
  • Ask how you can help with the training! The more volunteers we have to organize, gun, plant, and train the dogs, the faster we will be able to run through the braces, and get everyone home at a reasonable hour.
