You agree to encourage high standards of breeding, training, and showing of Vizslas. You also agree to promote the welfare of the Vizsla breed. To encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Vizslas; and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.
To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the Vizsla Club of America and the American Kennel Club, as the only standard of excellence by which Vizslas should be judged.
To protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanship at any Rio Salado Vizsla Club, American Kennel Club, or Vizsla Club of America event.
To conduct licensed events under the rules of the American Kennel Club; and to conduct sanctioned events under the rules of the Vizsla Club of America.
Several general meetings are held throughout the year, including an annual meeting in the spring. Watch the calendar for the next meeting.
Various events are held throughout the year to showcase your dog and allow the members to socialize with each other. Watch the calendar for upcoming events.
Training sessions for general socialization, basic obedience, show handling, and hunting tests are held during the year. More experienced club members work with the new people and their dogs to get them started to train for participating in an event.
Our Club is very active in Rescuing Vizslas in Arizona. We work in conjunction with the VCA Breed Rescue.
